SAS Similarity Theorem- If an angle of one triangle is congruent to an angle of a second triangle and the lengths of the sides including these angles are proportional then the triangles are similar.
These triangles are similar by SAS. Find their proportion. FInd EF.
9/6=3/2 Their proportion is 3/2
3/2 = 12/x
Cross multiply 24=3x
Divide by 3 x=8
3/2 = 12/x
Cross multiply 24=3x
Divide by 3 x=8
Angles A and D are equal and segments AC and DF; and segments AB and DE are proportional. So these triangles are similar through SAS Similarity Theorem.
Are these triangles similar?
Yes, these triangles are actually congruent. But you can say they are similar though SAS because <CEB and <BEA are congruent.
