## SAS Similarity Theorem- If an angle of one triangle is congruent to an angle of a second triangle and the lengths of the sides including these angles are proportional then the triangles are similar.

## These triangles are similar by SAS. Find their proportion. FInd EF.

9/6=3/2 Their proportion is 3/2

3/2 = 12/x

Cross multiply 24=3x

Divide by 3 x=8

3/2 = 12/x

Cross multiply 24=3x

Divide by 3 x=8

Angles A and D are equal and segments AC and DF; and segments AB and DE are proportional. So these triangles are similar through SAS Similarity Theorem.

## Are these triangles similar?

Yes, these triangles are actually congruent. But you can say they are similar though SAS because <CEB and <BEA are congruent.
